Located in the center of Manhattan’s exclusive Noho Historic District, this townhome is housed is the newest development on the block and comprised of floor-through and duplex residences. The Herzog and de Mueron building nearby was the darling of Bond Street but now the bluestone structure across the street is commanding the neighborhood’s attentions. With such a unique facade one can only begin to imagine what awaits inside. As one enters the 50-foot long great room (equipped with fireplace!), a panoramic view of the 1,700 square foot backyard takes center stage. With bedrooms and public spaces outfitted with furniture by BDDW and lighting fixtures by designer Lindsey Adelman and bathrooms tiled in the same New York bluestone as the exterior, no detail has been overlooked. The building’s architect, DDG Design, isn’t just a master of aesthetics though - the building boasts a green roof design helping to reduce energy consumption and storm-water runoff.

About the Architect

DDG Design

DDG Design believes that the strongest architecture comes from an intimate connection to materials and the craft of construction. This is why they build their own designs. The control of the construction process helps refine details and allows for an inspired architectural expression. Headed by Peter Guthrie, a graduate of the Yale School of Architecture, DDG prides itself on its celebration of the interplay between craft and technology to create modern architecture that is not afraid to connect to its past. DDG fosters a collaborative environment that seeks to promote experimentation and communication across all design disciplines. This collaboration results in a sum that is greater than its parts. DDG is so grateful to and proud of all its many successful collaborators.
