A pair of townhouses that face one another over a drivable courtyard, this ground-up project is a classic example of a Sander Architects’ Hybrid House. Our “part prefab, all custom™” building system keeps construction costs down while allowing the full range of creative expression and comparable finishes to a custom home.
Both units have three floors with generous double height living spaces that create visual drama. Much of the extensive glazing is a multi-wall translucent material often used in greenhouses in order to allow in light but retain privacy. The building skin, a shade screen created by diagonal, 1” x 2” aluminum angles, gives the buildings a distinctive appearance.
Extensive green materials and strategies put this project on track for a LEED Silver certification, to be completed in the near future.
This is one of Sander Architects Hybrid House: part prefab, all custom(tm) projects.
