Dwell Design & Drive Presented by Lincoln

An Exclusive Design & Drive Event Presented by Lincoln and Dwell at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD) La Jolla.

Ticket holders of the Dwell San Diego Home Tours and their guests are invited to help raise money for Architecture for Humanity by test-driving a NEW Lincoln vehicle.

Guests are invited to mingle with the design-loving crowd; meet architects and designers from homes on the Saturday tour; sample fine, chef-prepared cuisine; view MCASD La Jolla’s new exhibition Behold, America! (pictured above); and raise money for Architecture for Humanity by test-driving a NEW Lincoln.

HOW

When anyone 21 or older with a valid driver’s license test drives a Lincoln vehicle on November 10, Lincoln will donate $25 to Dwell Home Tours non-profit partner Architecture for Humanity for providing sustainable design solutions to the global community. Each test drive will last about 7 to 10 minutes. You don’t have to be a Dwell San Diego Home Tour ticket-holder to participate. The event is open to the public. However, RSVP is requested, as space is limited.

ACCESS

  • Enjoy exclusive private access Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD) La Jolla’s new Fall Exhibition Behold, America! after-hours during opening weekend
  • Mingle with the architects, designers and contributors responsible for the private homes on that day’s tour

SUPPORT ARCHITECTURE FOR HUMANITY

Since 1999, Architecture for Humanity has been putting Architects in service of those communities who need them most. After disaster strikes, AfH uses its expansive network of contacts to get well-designed buildings built – and fast. Today, AfH has built over 2,000 structures that have positively impacted about 2 million people worldwide.

Co-founders Kate Stohr and Cameron Sinclair also run design competitions, manage the Open Design Network, WorldChanging, and have published the best-selling books “Design Like You Give a Damn” and “Design Like You Give A Damn [2]”. Together, and with the Architects who work for them, they are redefining the role of Architecture and Design: to truly make an impact on our world.
